Can I borrow books or articles from another library?

Yes. If you need a resource that Holy Cross does not have, you can make an ILLiad Interlibrary Loan request to get the book (or article) from a different library. You can view a quick video introduction to Interlibrary Loan here:   HC Libs Survival Guides #3: Making the Most of Interlibrary Loan

You can also make a request directly through WorldCat. WorldCat searches the collections of libraries all over the world; when you come across a title that Holy Cross does not own, you can click on the title and then click on the "ILLiad Interlibrary Loan" link. The next page will ask you to fill out a form with your name and email so that you can request the book.

You will be notified when an Interlibrary Loan item has arrived for you. You can then pick the item up at the library.

If a library in the Worcester area has what you are looking for, you may also be able to go directly to that library to check out the book, using your borrowing privileges through the Worcester ARC program. Ask at the Dinand Circulation Desk for more information!
